Contributors Announced!

Over forty women have been selected by the panel for the "She Writes" Anthology. The book will be released March 3rd at our launch celebration. Follow the links to learn more about our contributors.

Book Launch Poets

Five poets featured at the book launch honoring 43 women contributors included:

JOHN GARDINER

John has hosted poetry readings and workshops for fourteen years, has written ten collections of poetry, and is published in many anthologies and periodicals. Besides giving hundreds of readings in California, he has read his poetry in Russia, Prague, Germany, ireland, Italy, and Rio de Janeiro.

SHAYLA ROSOFSKY

Shayla is an award-winning poet who has been published in the Magee Park Poets anthology and Java Joe's Best of the Beach. She is winner of a Barnes & Noble poetry contest and often reads at venues throughout Orange County.

JOAN E. BAUER

Joan is the author of The Almost Sound of Drowning and co-editor of Only the Sea Keeps: Poetry of the Tsunami. She has been published in numerous journals and anthologies including Along These Rivers: Poetry and Photography from Pittsburgh and Imagine Peace: Come Together.

RICKI MANDEVILLE

Ricki is the author of Beneath My Bed and A Thin Strand of Lights. She reads her work at venues throughout Orange County and was featured poet at the "She Writes" Literary Salon held at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach.

JOHN PERRY

John frequently reads his poetry at venues throughout Orange County and is completing a work-in-progress titled Notes on Napkins.

Robin Wethe Altman

Robin Wethe Altman's painting She Writes, chosen as cover for the upcoming She Writes Anthology, was recently unveiled at the She Writes Salon held at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. She exhibits her work at The Watercolor Gallery and the Art-A-Fair Festival in Laguna Beach.

A student of the noted California Regionalist James Green who, in turn, studied with renowned watercolorists Rex Brandt, Millard Sheets and Milford Zomes, Robin has traveled to France, Italy, Switzerland and England to paint on location, visit art museums, and meet people in the European art world. Her work hangs in homes, hospitals, and hotel lobbies, and is shown in the prestigious Festival of Arts and the popular Sawdust Festival.

Her painting, Laguna Gazebo, graces the cover of Interstices: the Orange County Anthology released earlier this year.
